Vulgar is a 2000 film written and directed by Bryan Johnson and produced by Kevin Smith's View Askew Productions. The film follows the violent and tragic life of Will Carlson (Brian O'Halloran) a 20-something birthday-party clown from a rundown neighborhood. To help pay his mortgage and for his mother's nursing home, Will takes his clown act to bachelor parties. His gimmick is to trick the groom into thinking a gay male stripper has been hired by mistake just before the "main act" arrives. Thus, Vulgar the Clown is born. Unfortunately, Vulgar's first gig turns out to be a trap and he is brutally assaulted by a middle-aged man named Ed (Jerry Lewkowitz) and his two sons.
