Violent City

Violent City, also known as The Family, is a 1970 crime film directed by Sergio Sollima. In the film, Jeff Heston (Charles Bronson) is vacationing in the Virgin Islands with his girlfriend Vanessa (Jill Ireland), when an attempt is made to kill him. The shooter is ex-business partner, Coogen (Michael Constantin) and Jeff's girlfriend Vanessa is in on the plot. The two of them run off together, leaving Jeff for dead, but Jeff survives and is quickly framed for murder and spends some time in prison. Upon his release, he hunts down Coogen and Vanessa and takes his revenge on Coogen and reunites with Vanessa. Well-known crime boss, Al Weber (Telly Savalas) impressed with Jeff's skills wants him to work for him. Jeff refuses because he knows that Al was responsible for framing him for murder. Al does not take no for an answer and sends his men to hunt Jeff down in the streets of New Orleans. MORE [EDIT]
