Kern Williams (Brett Loehr), a 14-year old comic book fan, is challenged to become a hero himself when he teams up with his favorite comic book character, "Veritas: Prince of Truth". Veritas (Sean Patrick Flanery), a winged superhero who can sense when someone is lying, emerges from the pages of Kern's comic book into the real world in an attempt to prevent his adversary Nemisii (Kate Walsh) from destroying his comic book world.[EDIT]
