Up is a 2009 animated film by Disney and Pixar featuring the voice of Ed Asner as Carl Fredricksen. Carl as a young boy is obsessed with the explorer Charles Muntz (Christopher Plummer) which leads him to develop a friendship with an outspoken girl named Ellie (Elizabeth Docter). Carl and Ellie fall in love and spend the rest of their lives together eventually buying a dream house and planning to fly it to Paradise Falls, a location allegedly visited by their hero Muntz. Ellie passes away, leaving Carl alone in their house with nothing but the dream of Paradise Falls.
