Under Siege

Under Siege is a 1992 action adventure film from director Andrew Davis. This blockbuster film was a huge box office success, and propelled leading man Steven Seagal to movie star status. Set on the USS Missouri, just as the battleship is about to be decommissioned, disgruntled former CIA operative William Strannix (Tommy Lee Jones) has partnered with Missouri's Executive Officer, Commander Krill (Gary Busey) to steal the battleship's nuclear Tomahawk missiles. Their plan to sell the stolen warheads to a hostile foreign nation is almost foolproof. Krill's men take over the ship, disguised as the catering team seeing to the Captain's farewell party. Strannix and Krill believe they have everything under control, but neither is aware of Chief Petty Officer Casey Ryback's (Seagal) fabled Navy SEAL career. After a scandal forces his retirement from the SEALs, Ryback takes a position as cook on the Missouri to finish out his twenty years of service. Now he's the only man who can prevent Strannix and Krill from putting America at risk. Ryback's only help for this dangerous mission is Miss July 1989 Jordan Tate (Erika Eleniak), a stripper hired for the Captain's party.
