Unanswered Prayers

Unanswered Prayers is a 2010 Lifetime Original Movie inspired by the Garth Brooks song of the same name. After enjoying a football career, Ben Beck (Eric Close) relocates to his hometown in Virginia to join his family's building business. He settles in with his wife, Lorrie (Samantha Mathis) and teenage son, Jesse (Tony Oller), and encourages his son to follow in his footsteps by pursuing a football scholarship. When Ben's first love and high-school sweetheart, Ava Andersson (Madchen Amick), returns to their hometown for her mother's funeral, the happiness of Ben's family is threatened. Ava, with a failed marriage behind her, insists on reliving the relationship she once shared with Ben before leaving him without so much as a goodbye. Can Ben find closure and put the past behind him, or will he succumb to the temptation and fall back into old patterns?
