Trading Mom is a family comedy film directed by Tia Brelis that focuses on the Martin kids as they get fed up with the nagging parenting style of their never-home mother (Sissy Spacek) and decide to do something about it. When their gardener Mrs. Cavour (Maureen Stapleton) gives them an enchantment to make their lives better without the likes of Mommy Martin, the three wakeup to find mom gone and access to a Mommy Market, a place where they could find any kind of mother that they’d ever want. The catch? They only have three tokens to take a new mother home with and if they can’t choose by the last, they can never go back.
