Towncraft, a 90 minute documentary, explores the underground music scene in Little Rock, Arkansas as it evolved from the late 1980s through the late 2000s. The film follows along as, in the late '80s, a few kids in Little Rock discovered punk rock and the ethic that drove it. By the early '90s, a vibrant underground music scene formed, consisting almost entirely of teenagers. The group of teens booked their own shows, started their own record labels, and played with national acts as a result of their intense musical drive. In 1992, they released a compilation album and zine documenting Little Rock's music scene. The film follows through the 2000s as the music scene continues to thrive. Little Rock bands including Soophie Nun Squad, Ho-Hum, and The American Princes are featured performing and are interviewed in the film. Towncraft was released in theaters, online and on DVD in 2007 and was the first film ever released on all three platforms simultaneously.MORE[EDIT]
