Top Gun is an iconic 1986 action film following the talented but volatile fighter pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) as he and his copilot Nick “Goose” Bradshaw look to outperform uptight pilot Tom “Iceman” Kazansky (Val Kilmer) as the best in the class at the Navy’s esteemed Fighter Weapons School. Maverick must prove himself to those at the school who don’t appreciate his daring style of flying, as well as dealing with the legacy of his father, a former pilot himself whose death in combat is mysteriously classified.
