The V.I.P.s

The V.I.P.s is a 1963 drama directed by Anthony Asquith. When a thick and dangerous fog develops around London Heathrow Airport, many planes are grounded, leading to frustrated passengers. While everyone inTerminal 2 is tired and impatient, some of the passengers are more deeply affected by the delays than others. Frances Andros (Elizabeth Taylor), a beautiful but emotionally damaged actress, has struggled with a failed marriage to wealthy Paul (Richard Burton). All she wants is to flee into the arms of her lover Marc (Louis Jordan), but the delay is causing unexpected problems. Paul seizes on the opportunity to convince Frances to stay with him, much to her distress. The Duchess of Brighton (Margaret Rutherford) is feeling defeated, trying to keep her destination a secret. She is flying to Florida, forced to accept a job to save her beautiful family home. Miss Mead (Maggie Smith) is a love-struck secretary, hoping to support her troubled boss Les Mangrum (Rod Taylor). As the troubled passengers drift through the airport and wait for the planes to take off, they wonder if the fog will lift in time to salvage their lives. MORE [EDIT]
