The Stranger Wore a Gun is a 1953 Western from director Andr'' De Toth of "House of Wax" fame. After watching the city of Lawrence, Kansas destroyed by the Quantrill's Raiders during the Civil War, former spy Jeff Travis (Randolph Scott) leaves the Confederates behind and tries to begin a new life in Arizona. He settles in Prescott, but his past catches up with him in the form of a former girlfriend, Josie Sullivan (Claire Trevor), a local prostitute, and another former Confederate, Jules Mourret (George Macready), recognizes Travis. Mourret ruthlessly runs the town with two colorful henchman, Dan Kurth (Lee Marvin) and Bull Slager (Ernest Borgnine), but they face trouble from an outlaw gang of Mexicans headed by Degas MORE [EDIT]
