The Second City: First Family of Comedy is a documentary that highlights over 40 years of comedy, coming out of the old-town Chicago theater group. Director Sharon Bartlett takes a look back at The Second City and its academy/training center where many famous American comedians learned their craft. The film opens with a clip from a stand-up routine from Joan Rivers in 1961. It then highlights some live performances of important Second City Chicago Alumni by first cutting to a young John Belushi on stage in 1971. Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd stop by Sharon's studios for an interview, and after, the film segues to a 1975 performance of Gilda Radner and John Candy at the Improv in New York. Mike Myers talks about his Second City training MORE [EDIT]
