The Salton Sea is a dark film that comes to you from one of the best directors in neo-noir film and psychological thrillers - D. J. Caruso (Disturbia, Two for the Money, Taking Lives, Eagle Eye). The film centers around a young man named Danny (Val Kilmer) , a seemingly hopeless man with a serious addiction to methamphetamines. He is trying to solve the mysterious murder of his wife. But Danny has many other things on his agenda. He must help a woman named Colette (Deborah Kara Unger), his neighbor, escape a brutally abusive situation. He also works undercover for the narcotics team for the local police force.
