The Rich Man's Wife is a 1996 thriller written and directed by Amy Holden Jones. The film follows trophy wife Josie Potenza (Halle Berry), whose film producer husband, Tony (Christopher McDonald), is more interested in work then her. To relieve Tony from the stress of his work and incessant drinking, Josie convinces him to go away with her on a romantic lakeside cabin retreat. Unable to stop thinking about work, Tony heads back to the city after just a few days. Josie decides to stay on at the cabin. Lonely and bored, she meets with Cole Wilson (Peter Greene) at a local bar. In a moment of weakness, she tells Coles that she would like to see her husband dead. This casual remark, said in anger, sets in motion a series of events that culminate in Tony's death, with Josie as the number one suspect. To prove her innocence, Josie must overcome the suspicions of the police and fight to save her own life.MORE[EDIT]
