The Relic is a 1997 science fiction movie directed by Peter Hyams The movie is based on Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child's best-selling book, Relic. In the film, a young anthropologist from the Museum of Natural History, John Whitney (Lewis Van Bergon) travels to South America to study a tribe there. When his crates that were to be full of findings arrive back at the museum with no sign of John, the staff is worried. Their worry is heightened when it is discovered that people on the ship, which carried the crates, were murdered. Lt. Vincent D'Agosta (Tome Sizeman) and his partner Sgt.
