The Puppet Masters

The Puppet Masters is a 1994 sci-fi horror film that documents the terror that takes place when space aliens invade the Midwest. The movie, based on Robert A. Heinlein's 1951 novel, begins with panic as extraterrestrial beings invade a town in Iowa and take over the bodies of its citizens. The locals begin to act on the wishes of aliens by causing havoc and soon, U.S. security agent Andrew Nivens (Donald Sutherland) is called in to find out how this happened and come up with a scheme to restore order. Nivens and his assistants soon find themselves in rare territory as they must destroy a plasma-filled hive that is the key to defeating the aliens, while also making sure they stay safe themselves. The Puppet Masters is directed by Stuart Orme and has garnered favorable comparisons to another film, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," for its theme and special effects over the years. MORE [EDIT]
