The Philadelphia Story is a romantic comedy film directed by George Cukor based on the Broadway play of the same name that centers on the old money socialite Tracy Samantha Lord Haven (Katharine Hepburn), whose impending marriage to the new money George Kittrege (John Howard) is put in a bit of a bind when her ex-husband C.K. Dexter Haven comes roaring back into her life.
