The Mutant Chronicles is set far into the future when corporations control the earth. During a fierce battle between the Capitol and Bauhaus corporations, the soldiers unwittingly break an ancient seal and release The Machine. Sent at the end of the Ice Age to change humans into mutants, The Machine had been defeated by a great hero who left his story for future generations in The Chronicles. With The Machine now able to do its work again, soldiers and civilians alike are turned into mutants and sent to attack the humans that were unable to escape to Mars.
