The Muppet Christmas Carol is a musical retelling of the classic Christmas tale of Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine) and the ghosts that help him resolve to change his miserly ways. Gonzo the Great (Dave Goelz) takes the role of Charles Dickens, who penned the tale set on Christmas Eve in London during the 1800s. Kermit (Steve Whitmire) plays Bob Cratchit, loyal employee for the money-lender, who must beg for Christmas day off in order to spend it with his family, including Tiny Tim, played by Robin the Frog (Jerry Nelson), who is ill. After sending away his family and those collecting to help the less fortunate during the season of giving, Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, all of which try to show Scrooge the error of his ways. The 1992 film was directed by Brian Henson and produced by The Jim Henson Company.MORE[EDIT]
