The Motorcycle Diaries is the critically acclaimed 2004 adventure biopic from director Walter Salles. The film centers around future Marxist revolutionary hero Ernesto Guevara (Gael Garcia Bernal, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Bad Education, Dot the I), 23 and only one session short of completing his medical degree. He and friend Alberto Granado (Rodrigo de la Serna), a biochemist almost 30, decide to explore their continent, on a 5000 mile journey on a 1939 Norton 500 that already was not in very good shape. They want to see for themselves what they have only studied in books.
