The Man Who Knew Too Much is a suspenseful thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock that follows a vacationing British couple, Bob and Jill Lawrence (Leslie Banks and Edna Best), whose recent acquaintance with a foreign Louis Bernard (Pierre Fresnay) pulls them into a world of spies, assassinations, and crime. Louis had been staying in their Swiss hotel and while he danced with Jill during a party, he is assassinated and revealed a French spy. Just before he died, he tells the Lawrences the secret information that needed to be passed on to the British government.
