The Man from Utah is a 1934 Western about a double-dealing rodeo gang and the cowboy who tries to stop them. The film opens with John Weston (John Wayne) riding into town, singing and strumming his guitar. A drifter looking for work, Weston uses some quick thinking and sharp shooting to foil a bank robbery. Marshal George Higgins (George Hayes) thanks the stranger and asks him to use his horse-riding skills to infiltrate the Dalton Valley Rodeo. The suspicious rodeo organizer, Spike Barton (Edward Peil, Sr.), and his boys always seem to win the prize money while the best local cowboys die from "snakebites." Barton and his top henchman, Cheyenne Kent (Yakima Canutt), plan a similar fate for Weston. The Man from Utah MORE [EDIT]
