The Man from Earth is a 2007 science fiction film directed by Richard Schenkman When Professor John Oldman (David Lee Smith) retires and begins to pack for a move to a different town, his scientist friends gather to give him a farewell party. They all ask Oldman to tell them why he has suddenly decided to move, but he is reluctant to tell them. When he reveals that he is actually 14,000 years old and must move on before people notice that he never ages, his friends are aghast. Oldman says that he was born a caveman in prehistoric times and describes how he lived through the different eras in human history. He also tells them about his friendships with famous people, such as the painter Vincent Van Gogh. His logical friends ask him many scientific and historical questions to poke holes in his unlikely story. As Oldman answers each one of them, his friends must decide whether to believe his claim.MORE[EDIT]
