The Incredible Mr. Limpet is a 1964 family comedy that blends live action and animation to tell the odd story of Mr. Henry Limpet (Don Knotts). Nervous, meek and timid, Henry Limpet works as a Brooklyn bookkeeper and focuses on his main passion and hobby in life: he loves everything to do with fish. He also aspires to become part of the Navy, but with his 4F label, he cannot pass muster. His Navy friend, George (Jack Weston), makes sure Limpet knows exactly how unpatriotic he should feel. Sad and lacking confidence, Limpet is not paying attention during a trip to Coney Island and winds up falling into the water. To his shock and delight, Limpet transforms into a fish, fulfilling his deepest wish. With a new lease on life, Limpet quickly figures out how he can do his Naval duty as a fish. It soon becomes clear that, as a fish, Limpet finally has a chance to become a U.S. hero.MORE[EDIT]
