The Hurt Locker is a dramatic Oscar winning film directed by Kathryn Bigelow, a war film about the U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team in the Iraq war. Mark Boal, a journalist who was stationed with a US bomb squad in 2004 in Iraq, wrote the film. Seargeant First Class William James takes a new leadership position with the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit with the Army's Bravo Company. Seargeant J.T. Sanborn and Specialist Owen Eldgridge, who support Sergeant James as he examines and disarms the improvised explosive devices that litter the streets of Baghdad, comprise the rest of the team.
