The Hillz

The Hillz is a 2004 crime drama about a college star athlete returning to his affluent hometown and finding a disturbing change in his old buddies. Steve (Jesse Woodrow) spent his senior year as a juvenile delinquent alongside his buddies, Duff (Rene Heger), Seb (Eric Priestley) and Craig (James DeBello). After a year in college, he has turned his life around. Steve just won the College World Series, and a top spot in the Major League draft is on the horizon. Everything seems to be going his way, until he returns to the wealthy suburban neighborhood. His old buddies have transformed from pranksters into a full-fledged criminals running a violent drug crew. Steve tries to steer clear of them by pursuing the girl of his high school dreams, Heather Smith (Paris Hilton). She may have a seemingly perfect boyfriend, Todd (Jason Shaw), but she also likes the new and improved Steve. But their relationship may not have a chance before the bad boys snare Steve back into his lawbreaking ways. Saran Barnun writes and directs this dark journey about going home again. MORE [EDIT]
