The Haunted Mansion

The Haunted Mansion is a 2003 comedic family horror film based loosely on the Haunted Mansion rides featured at Disney theme parks. Jim Evers (Eddie Murphy) has a wonderful family, including his wife, Sara (Marsha Thomason), preteen daughter, Megan (Aree Davis), and young son, Michael (Marc John Jefferies). Unfortunately, Jim does not have the time to enjoy being with his family, since his workaholic nature and demanding job as a realtor means that he often spends long hours at the office. Finally growing fed up with her husband's distance, Sara confronts Jim, who guiltily promises to have a family vacation. However, in a strange twist of fate, Master Edward Gracey (Nathaniel Parker) contacts the family about selling his impressive piece of property. To the family's distress, Jim cannot resist the chance to make a huge sale. He drags Sara, Megan and Michael to the Gracey mansion, which turns out to be a very unusual piece of property. Instead of a fun family vacation, the Evers find themselves facing ghosts, ghouls and mysterious secrets which threaten to change the family forever. MORE [EDIT]
