The Groom Wore Spurs is a 1951 black-and-white comedy directed by Richard Whorf. In the film, Ben Castle is a singing Hollywood cowboy sensation. However, the cowboy characters Ben have nothing in common with who Ben is in real life. Castle cannot ride a horse or sing a single note. He is afraid of guns, horses and has never been in a fight in his life. His fans are in love with him and everything he does, so his Hollywood studio will do anything to protect him. When Ben gets into some trouble with a Las Vegas casino owner, Harry Kallen (Stanley Ridges), his studio steps in to straighten it out.
