The Eyes of Laura Mars is a 1978 thriller starring Faye Dunaway and Tommy Lee Jones in a film about a popular fashion photographer with a penchant for violent scenes who becomes caught in a string of murders as bloody and depraved as her photographs. Dunaway plays Laura Mars, a beautiful artist with an eye for violence. Her work is well-known and controversial. She has an upcoming anthology featuring a selection of her work called The Eyes of Laura Mars, but shortly before its release she begins experiencing disturbing visions of people close to her having their eyes stabbed with an ice pick. The visions become even more disturbing when she discovers they're visions of reality, and her friends are actually dying. The police realize she's the central target of a serial killer. Lt. John Neville (Tommy Lee Jones) is appointed to the case, and he develops a rocky romance with Laura while he protects her from harm. As the killer creeps closer to Laura, she must wonder who could commit these crimes, why she's seeing the visions, and if there's any chance she'll survive.
