The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is the acclaimed 2007 drama directed by Julian Schnabel (Basquiat, Before Night Falls) taken from the real life tale of the successful Jean-Do (Mathieu Amalric, Munch, Quantum of Solace) stricken with a unique cerebro-vascular disease. His novel was dictated letter by letter, about his life and his monumental ordeal, burdened on a man at the top of his career, being the editor of fashion magazine Elle, and seemed to be living up the good life. The easy way out is of course giving up hope and professing his wish MORE [EDIT]
