The Departed, directed by Martin Scorsese, is a crime drama that revolves around a Boston rookie cop, Billy Costigano (Leonardo DiCaprio) sent to infiltrate the mob to try to take down the Mafia boss, Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson). Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) is another young cop on the force who is privy to the secret operation the cops are conducting to bust Costello, but what the cops don't know is that he is also an informer for Costello who warns the mobster of impending dangers when the police get too close.
