The Deal is a timely political thriller dealing with the danger and intrigue of the international oil trade. Tom Hanson (Christian Slater) is a prominent Wall Street broker who must mediate a deal between his client and a shady Russian oil cartel. He is aided by an idealistic, environmentally conscious Harvard graduate, Abby (Selma Blair), as he uncovers layer after layer of deceit and corruption with potentially lethal consequences.
