The Day of the Dead is a 2008 drama/horror film. The story revolves around the brutal actions of a gang operating close to the Mexican border as well as the law officers and officials who work to stop them. This particular gang crosses the line by murdering a young, female Mexican illegal immigrant and the law comes crashing down upon them in the form of Detective Carla Moreno (Rosa Frausto) who relentlessly hunts the killers to bring about justice. The girl's father is given permission to come into the United States to pick up his daughter's body but he too wants justice; even if he has to bring about that justice with his own hands.
