The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend is a 1949 romantic comedy set in the Old West. Directed by Preston Sturges, it was his first Technicolor film. Winifred "Freddie" Jones (Betty Grable) plays a hot-tempered saloon singer who always has her six-shooter handy. When she catches her cheating boyfriend, Blackie Jobero (Cesar Romero), making a pass at another woman she takes aim at Blackie but misses him. She accidentally shoots the local judge in the rear instead. Freddie is then forced to run, but when she finds a tiny town to hide out in she is mistaken for the town's newly hired school teacher. Freddie assumes the role out of necessity and gradually begins to settle into her new life. She soon catches the eye of the MORE [EDIT]
