Composing Outside the Beatles - Lennon and McCartney 1967 - 1972 is an independent rock documentary film about the solo work of Beatles' members John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Ever since the Beatles exploded onto the American stage and screen (and did they ever explode), rock music has never been the same. After the bands tragic breakup, two of the four titans dove head first into solo work almost immediately. This documentary is a look at the prolific musical accomplishments of Lennon and McCartney separated. Two men who sadly grew apart, but were, as the film shows, incredibly similar in talent, relationships and musical passion, while still opposed in the vast difference of McCartney's fun rock pop to Lennon's scathing social commentary. From Yoko to Linda. From "Instant Karma" to "Maybe I'm Amazed". This somewhat scholarly look offers interviews from accompanying musicians and esteemed rock journalists, and is a must for both casual and die-hard Beatles fans alike.MORE[EDIT]
