The Adventures of Captain Bob in Outer Space

The Adventures of Captain Bob in Outer Space is a short animated film based on an independent comic book series by Scott Reeves. Like the comic, this quirky film follows the adventures of Captain Poindexter Q. Bob (Jaime Bancroft); his First Mate Maximillian Marko (Curtis Bamboozle), an android; and their ragtag, incompetent crew as they try in vain to complete work assignments aboard the spaceship Humperdinck. In this episode, Captain Bob meets his doppelg''nger. His double has diabolical plans to take over the ship, and endangers the crew in the process of executing his schemes. Captain Bob and his crew attempt to thwart the double's evil plans, but, as usual, flounder about in a series of unsuccessful attempts to regain their ship. This extremely low-budget short film looks and feels more like a teenager's weekend animation project than a Hollywood movie; however, its satirical, sardonic style of humor is quite clever and is sure to find its niche.
