Featuring archival footage of Judy Garland, Eleanor Powell, Lena Horne, Esther Williams, Ann Miller, Kathryn Grayson, Howard Keel, Heanette MacDonald, Cyd Charisse, June Allyson, Liza Minnelli, Ginger Rogers, James Stewart, Clark Gable, Mickey Rooney, Mario Lanza, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, and Gene Kelly, the film was released during the Watergate scandal with the tagline "Boy, do we need it now!"
