Surfer, Dude is a 2008 comedy directed by S.R. Binder. In the film, Steve Addington (Matthew McConaughey) is a professional longboard surfer who makes his living off his endorsement deals. He comes home to Malibu on vacation and learns his once simple town is now an urban nightmare and his endorsement deal has been sold to Eddie Zarno (Jeffrey Nordling). Zarno is a former surfer turned tycoon who wants Steve to lend his moves to his new virtual reality video game. When Addington refuses to take part, Zarno freezes his expense account while he tried to talk him into it.
