Straight Talk, starring Dolly Parton and James Woods, is a 1992 romantic comedy. Shirlee Kenyon (Dolly Parton), a dance teacher in Arkansas, grows bored with her small-town life and decides to move to Chicago. When she arrives in town, she stops on a bridge to take in the view and drops a $20 bill. Seeing her struggle to retrieve it, journalist Jack (James Woods) believes she is about to fall and intervenes. Despite her initial bad luck in the city, Shirlee is soon hired as a switchboard operator. When she accidentally walks into a recording office in her building, she is mistaken for a psychiatrist scheduled to appear on-air and is ushered into the studio.
