Star Trek III: The Search for Spock is a 1984 science fiction film that directly follows the events of 1982’s Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan In the climactic final battle of The Wrath of Khan, the Starship Enterprise was nearly entirely destroyed and the Enterprise’s Vulcan commander Spock was killed. Captain James T. Kirk leads the remainder of the crew back to Earth, where the ship’s doctor Leonard McCoy begins acting strangely.
