Star Trek is the 2009 movie that brings back the crew from the original series with a new cast; James Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Scotty (Simon Pegg), and Sulu (John Cho), as they launch the maiden voyage of the U.S.S. Enterprise. On their action-filled journey, the new recruits have to stop an evil force who is on a mission of vengeance that threatens all mankind. Kirk and Spock begin as bitter rivals, with Kirk being a delinquent, emotional thrill-seeker, and Spock being the opposite; a logic-based stoic. When a Romulan ship is found drilling into Vulcan's core, it is discovered that the captain Nero is drilling red matter into the core, which creates a black hole and consumes the planet and its residents.
