Stand by Me is the beloved coming of age tale adapted from the novella The Body by Stephen King and directed by Rob Reiner (The Princess Bride, This is Spinal Tap, Misery, When Harry Met Sally). When an aging writer's childhood friend is fatally stabbed in a restaurant, he reminisces about a rite of passage they and two other friends went through in Castle Rock, Oregon in 1959, when they embarked on a cross country journey to find the body of a dead classmate long missing.
