Spring Breakdown

Spring Breakdown is a comedy and party movie about three longtime friends, Gayle (Amy Poehler), Judi (Rachel Dratch), and Becky (Parker Posey), who have always dreamed of being fabulous but somehow have never been able to outgrow their nerdiness. Becky works for the next U.S. vice-president, Senator Hartmann (Jane Lynch), and when given opportunity to chaperone Hartmann's daughter, Ashley (Amber Tamblyn), to the popular spring break location of South Padre Island, she invites her friends along in the hopes that they can redeem their social failures in college by partying with the beer and bikini crowd. In the ensuing craziness of drinking, dancing, rowdy partying, and unchecked libidos, they attempt to turn their unhip lives around and transform themselves from geeky to popular. They focus on winning a talent contest, but soon find themselves questioning whether it is better to fit in with the crowd or stand out as different. MORE [EDIT]
