Slave of the Cannibal God

Slave of the Cannibal God is a cult classic Italian horror film starring Ursula Andress as Susan Stevenson, a distraught wife who goes looking for her missing husband in the dangerous jungles of New Guinea. Her husband, an anthropologist named Henry, never returned from a recent expedition into the uncharted and off-limits mountain Ra Ra Me on the island Roka. Susan and her brother Arthur join forces with Professor Edward Foster and a jungle explorer named Manola. The jungle ahead of them is filled with danger. The explorers must survive giant snakes, alligators, and giant spiders. As if that wasn't enough, an ancient civilization of blood-thirsty cannibals waits for them at the heart of the island. Susan will have to use all her wits to escape becoming that night's main course. This film is directed by horror master Sergio Martino. Due to some scenes of graphic violence, several countries banned Martino's tale of jungle survival. Slave of the Cannibal God was released in 1978, and was banned on video in the UK until 2001.
