Siam Sunset is a 1999 Australia comedy directed by John Polson. Englishman Perry (Linus Roache) starts suffering from serve depression after his wife is killed in a freak accident. He works as an industrial chemist developing new colors for a British paint company and becomes obsessed with trying to develop the perfect shade red paint. The color, Siam Sunset, is the same shade as his dead wife's hair and he hopes it will be his salvation. Perry then wins a trip to Australian and is given a sabbatical from work.
