Shakespeare's Women and Claire Bloom is a documentary about Claire Bloom's experiences as a Shakespearean actress. She has performed both lead and supporting roles since she began her career in her teens. The documentary alternates between discussion of her life as an actress and monologues and soliloquies from a number of Shakespeare's plays. She reads from King Henry The Eighth, Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice as well as others. Claire Bloom sets out to provide a detailed introduction to the world of Shakespeare, taking time to clearly introduce each excerpt.
