Sacco and Vanzetti is a documentary film that takes aim at the controversial case of two Italian immigrants that were charged, convicted, and executed for murder in the 1920's. On April 15, 1920 in the town of Braintree, MA, a security guard and a paymaster were murdered. The prime suspects in the case were a couple of Italian anarchists, Niccola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. Known to be followers of the militant leader Luigi Galleani, the two were charged with the crime, and subsequently convicted, despite neither having a criminal record.
