Rage at Dawn

Rage at Dawn, a 1955 film, is a true story about the Reno Brothers. One of the brothers, Clint (Denver Pyle), is a respected farmer. The remaining four are members of an outlaw gang as they are killers and corrupt robbers. Their sister, Laura (Mala Powers), serves as a cook and housekeeper to the brothers. She has also inherited the family house. One day as the gang are trying to rob a bank, one of them is killed, leading them to conclude that someone they know gave them away. They find out that the informant was a local bartender and they go ahead and kill him. What they did not know is the bartender was an agent who was assigned by Peterson Detective Agency to investigate the Reno Brothers' crimes. Randolph Scott (James Barlow), formerly a secret agent, replaces the killed agent and after engaging in a few phony robberies, he is accepted in the gang. He now has an upper hand in investigating and providing information about the brothers' crimes. MORE [EDIT]
