Protocol is a 1984 comedy directed by Herbert Ross. Sunny Ann Davis (Goldie Hawn) is unhappy with her life. The ditzy young woman works as a cocktail waitress in Washington, D.C. Despite her good looks, she has not been able to find a man who captures her heart. Feeling despondent one evening, Sunny pauses on her way home to watch dignitaries leaving an event.
