Producing Adults is a Finnish dramatic comedy film directed by Aleksi Salmenpera that centers on Venla (Minna Haapkyla) and the inevitable decisions she has to make about the future with her long-term boyfriend Antero (Kari-Pekka Toivonen), specifically in the question of whether or not to have children. As a psychologist for an infertility clinic, Venla knows the trials and tribulations that come with the tough decision to produce the next generation. When career driven Antero flat out refuses to have children, even going so far to get a secret vasectomy, Venla takes a route she sees all day, every day at work – she’ll have in vitro fertilization using a sperm donor.
